HCR106: Dealing with Discouragement and Depression

Untitled

In this 106th podcast of Healthy Church Radio, I talk about the prevalence of discouragement and even depression among pastors and church leaders. I interview my friend and fellow pastor, Dr. Wade Cox, who has recently come out of a time of discouragement, and we discuss the follow questions:

  1. What are some of the reasons you believe pastors get discouraged or even depressed? Or, what were the triggers for you?
  2. What are the signs and symptoms to look for?
  3. What are the things you did that helped you come out of it? What did God teach you through this?
  4. Any other advice or encouragement you would give to pastors or church leaders who may be going through this trial?
